Code of Conduct (COC) Policy
To meet the quality assurance standards required for accreditation, we have implemented a comprehensive quality assurance and management system at Stonebridge University. Below is an overview of the key systems and policies in place:
At Stonebridge University, our mission is to provide a world-class, digital-first higher education experience that is inclusive, ethical, and professional. To support this mission, the Code of Conduct (COC) outlines the standards of behaviour expected of all employees, faculty, contractors, associates, and partners.
This policy ensures that all members of our university community act with integrity, respect, professionalism, and accountability in all their interactions.
Stonebridge University is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
- Harassment of any kind—including sexual, racial, religious, verbal, or digital harassment—will not be tolerated.
- Insulting jokes, inappropriate comments, abusive behaviour, and misuse of authority are strictly prohibited.
- Supervisors, managers, and leaders must set a positive example, forbidding coercion, intimidation, or abuse of power.
All staff, faculty, and affiliates are accountable for upholding this policy.
All employees of Stonebridge University are expected to:
- Demonstrate initiative, efficiency, and accountability in their work.
- Safeguard university property and resources, ensuring their proper use and return.
- Avoid discussing sensitive information (prices, costs, client/student data) with competitors.
- Not engage in unlawful agreements or collusion with vendors, distributors, or service providers.
- Avoid the misuse of intellectual property belonging to others.
- Act in the best interests of the university at all times.
- Do not accept or offer gifts, entertainment, or favours that may create a conflict of interest or undue influence.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct in all university-related interactions (including digital spaces).
All employees and affiliates must avoid activities that may compromise, or appear to compromise, their commitment to the university. This includes:
- Sharing or misusing confidential information.
- Engaging in outside employment, consultancy, or business without prior written approval.
- Allowing personal interests to conflict with the responsibilities and interests of Stonebridge University.
“Confidential Information” includes all data, knowledge, and processes relating to the university, its students, employees, and partners.
- Confidential information must only be used for legitimate university purposes.
- Employees must not disclose, share, or misuse confidential or sensitive data during or after their employment.
- On termination of employment or engagement, all documents and digital records must be returned.
Examples include:
- Student records and data
- Financial information
- Research projects and intellectual property
- University systems, processes, and digital platforms
- Act with integrity, honesty, and professionalism.
- Maintain dignity, fairness, and respect in all dealings.
- Follow all university policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Always promote the best interests and reputation of the university.
This Code applies to:
- Faculty and staff (full-time and part-time)
- Contractors and consultants
- University partners and associates
- All individuals representing Stonebridge University in any capacity
Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment, legal proceedings, or reporting to external authorities where required.
This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure it remains aligned with the mission, values, and strategic objectives of Stonebridge University.
